SCHLOTHAUER & WAUER Ingenieurgesellschaft für Straßenverkehr

By meeting challenges we grow

From the planning of intersections to the adaptive management of complex traffic networks

Since our formation in 1991, we have been pursuing the goal of developing intelligent planning and system solutions for road traffic. Within the context of the digitalisation of the working world in the mid 1990’s, this resulted in our first software system LISA.

LISA is a digital workplace for traffic engineers which makes the traffic-related planning and assessment of intersections with traffic lights simpler, more effective and more efficient. This quality is the basis for the market success of all successor software systems from LISA through to INES, which make it possible to manage urban road-traffic networks in an adaptive and performance-oriented manner while also preserving the environment, energy and nerves. The sustainable management of traffic flows creates the prerequisite for the urban mobility concepts of the future.

„Nambala Help“

One consequence of the rampant epidemics in Africa is the large number of orphaned children with absolutely no prospects for the future. Going to school is becoming a luxury. Our friends at the African initiative FRI-SUCODE in Tanzania have for years been making efforts to ensure that education is also accessible to the poorest of the poor. Be it the brokering of school sponsorships or the building of schools – their projects are diverse and always aimed at strengthening the educational structure of the region. The municipal centre, for whose construction and expansion we have been providing financial support since many years, has now been completed.

A new project of our inexhaustible helpers on site is planned for the coming years: A boarding school for the children of secondary school in Kikwe. A lot of children in Tanzania have a long way to school, often many kilometers they have to cover on foot. Who snatched one of the few places in one of the school accommodations must be lucky. It is scheduled to begin early in 2016 with the construction of a girls boarding school. Especially for girls the way to school is often not only long, but also dangerous.
